VW ID.3
We want to offer as many different types of vehicles as possible for the daily mobility mix of the big city life. That's why we added the VW ID.3 to the MILES fleet as the first electric car.
Via app we offer flexible access to over 6000 vehicles for different occasions. With MILES you can rent small cars, compact cars, vans and now also electric cars - 24/7 via app.
100% electric
Reach up to 420km
Automatic gear: the shift lever is on the steering wheel
Integrated navigation system
Silent engine:
You won’t hear a thing while driving – except for your music
You can see all available charging stations on the map in the app. The charging process is designed to work with via the app - no charging card required.
The car should be charged if the battery level is less than 30%.
You can always check the battery status in the app or directly on the vehicle’s dashboard. The remaining range of the electric car is displayed in kilometres – the same way reach is displayed in our other cars.
As soon as you are in an active rental with an electric car, all charging stations in your area are automatically displayed in the MILES app. You will see blue pin icons as charging stations.
Simply click on the desired charging station in the app and let Google or Apple Maps navigate you there.
There are two types of public charging stations:
1. AC charging stations (regular charging stations)
⟶ ID.3 charging time ≈ 6 hours
⟶ No integrated charging cable: connect the E-vehicle with it’s own charging cable (in the trunk).
2. DC charging stations (fast charging stations)
⟶ ID.3 charging time ≈ 45 min
⟶ Charging cable integrated directly at the charging station
⟶ Ideal for short stopovers: mainly found on motorway gas stations
Please make sure that the parking mode is not activated!
1. Open the MILES app and click on the charging station. Now pick and confirm the charging port you want to connect the ID.3 with. It will open automatically.
2. Fetch the charging cable from the trunk.
3. Open the tank flap (= gas cap) on the car and connect the larger plug with the car.
4. Connect the cable with the charging station.
5. Confirm plugging the car and the charging station in the MILES app.
6. You can now activate the parking mode or end the rental.
The charging cable on the car will be unlocked automatically as soon as you start your rent via the app.
1. Book the car as usual via the app.
2. Click on “End charging” in the app.
3. Remove the charging cable from the charging station and from the car.
4. Confirm you disconnected the cable from the car and the charging station in the app.
5. Put the MILES charging cable back into the trunk.
6. You can start driving now.
